The Go - Getters Assoc.Inc. Started in May 2001. The club originally started as running dances
for people with disabilities. Over time our client numbers and fundraising events have increased making it possible to do
more as times gone on. Not only does the club hold dances 3-4 times a month; it holds sausage sizzles outside Makro Warehouse
every Saturday, raffles at different occasions through out the year and also the occasional garage sale when there's been
enough bric-a-brac donated. We do fundraising for people with disabilities who are in need of equipment to help make there
access to the community more easier or just make there life more comfortable. We also provide food parcels to people in need.
The club was originally started by a couple of parents who care about people with disabilities. Below is some brief information
about the founders of this group. Anne Morris was and still is president of The Go - Getters Assoc, Her son Paul who has a
disability was and still is DJ at the Dance. Linda Webber was the original Treasurer and her 2 daughters Jacinta and Rochelle
were a great help in getting this club up and running. With out there help to Anne The Go - Getters may never of happened.
Also there was Greg he was our doorman and also did a great job. Between these people they got the show on the road and it
just goes to show you can do anything if you put your mind to it and have a few good friends. The
name of our club is The Go-Getters Assoc.Inc our motto is we go and get. If you want something bad enough and
you put your mind to it anything is possible. Thankyou for visiting our website and hope you enjoy it.
